Raising Money For Your Charity
- How Long Do I Have To Raise The Funds?
- You have 3 months (a full 13 weeks) from the time of receiving your Sponsorship Pack to the day of your Pilot A Helicopter date to raise the total minimum €500 (incl. your €50 booking deposit).
- How Much Do I Have To Raise?
- There is no upper limit to how much you can raise for your chosen charity. The minimum amount to raise for a charity pilot experience is €500 but you could achieve a lot more than that. The sky’s the limit!
- How Much Does My Charity Get?
- The total cost of organising and completing your pilot experience is €250. Therefore if you raise the minimum of €500.00 your Charity receives a minimum of €250.00. Your Charity also receives all funds raised above €500.00 less an agreed fee with the charity and of course you're guaranteed to get an unforgettable experience.
- What Happens If I Don't Raise All The Money?
- If after 13 weeks, you have not collected any further funds, Pilot 4 Charity will forward the €50.00 deposit direct to the chosen Charity less an agreed admin charge. If after 13 weeks you have not reached the minimum target of €500.00, the Pilot A Helicopter Experience will not take place and all funds raised shall be returned to the sponsors by you unless individual sponsors wish the charity to benefit. In this instance All funds received by Pilot 4 Charity will be forwarded directly onto the named Charity without any fee being deducted. Although get in touch with us any time and we may consider extending your fundraising period. However, the standard fundraising period is 13 weeks and this should always be your deadline. Extensions are exceptions.

Our list of affiliated charities is ever-increasing and we're always delighted to welcome new charities on board. What Can I Expect During My Pilot A Helicopter Experience?
- What Happens If The Weather Is Bad?
- It happens and Helicopter Flying is very much weather dependant. But that’s not your fault! So, if it happens that on the day of your scheduled flight the weather is bad you can simply rebook at the Helicopter Centre for a different date that is suitable to you.
- What Should I Wear?
- No need to dress up! Casual, comfortable clothes and runners is fine. Although if you want to look like a formal Pilot, feel free.
- How Will I Know What To Do?
- Each Charity Pilot receives full instructions and guidance in advance of their flight. During the flight you will be in continuous communication with your fully qualified flight instructor who will be sitting beside you in full control of the Helicopter until he decides the time is right to give you the opportunity to take the controls. We take your safety (and ours!) VERY seriously.
